I Can't Make Biscuits.... Continued.

I had a little technical difficulty. Something else that Brooklyn will have to help me with! Biscuits ....When I made the dough it was really thin and instead of add more Bisquick my mom wanted to do it the old "Cat Head" way. Her first step was to put a big spoon of Crisco in the bottom of a skillet and flour hand fulls of dough. She put the raw dough in a skillet and threw them in the oven until they were just right. They were really moist and flakey.... so not a complete disaster. My goal is still to make the perfect biscuits. Until then I'll continue to put biscuit dough in muffin tins or get my good pal, Mary B to join the party.

I Can't Make Biscuits!!!!

Happy 4th! We've had a full day here in Leesville!! We cooked and cooked then we ate and ate! Jordan and Cousin Rivers learned a few new tricks. Jordan is as spoiled as ever! He has started refusing baby food which makes for a long day! I've noticed that he IS interested in what I have on my plate, so our next venture will be making sure I have soft enough food on my plate to feed him. I hope it works!
As soon as Brooklyn gives me a run down on how to post pictures from my phone, I'll add some pictures of Jordan and his buddy Rivers.

I tried a new recipe today .... It turned out decent but it wasn't what I was expecting.

7-Up Biscuits

2c. Bisquick
1/2 c 7-up
1/2 c sour cream
1/4 c butter

Cut sour cream into Bisquick; add 7-up;
melt butter in a skillet (or 9 in pan);
pat out dough and cut with a round cutter;
bake until brown.

Sheesh!

I have no idea what I'm doing. I thought I might be able to do this but I can't even figure out how to change my name on this thing! It still says my name is Amanda Jordan and I've poked around everywhere I can think of to change my name with no luck. I'm hoping that Brooklyn can give me a crash course next week! Wish me luck!


In the mean time, let me introduce you to Jordan. We have been bleesed beyond measure with this little addition. It's hard to believe that 8 months have passed this quickly!
